Okay, I'm not a fan of AlQuaida, but... I have to say that I'm also not a fan of learning that six people were killed via an unmanned spy plane while traveling by car. I think it bothers me because it seems so impersonal and somewhat unethical -- if they die in battle, that's one thing, but if they're just driving around? Unless they're running over pedestrians, what reason did they have to die (well, aside from the obvious)?

Of course, I'm also a child of Due Process and Fair Trial by a Jury of One's Peers and all that. Maybe I just don't like it because they were not tried and unequivocally proven guilty, then subsequently sentenced. *Blink* In fact, that's precisely it! The U.S. just reached out and squashed these six people like bugs, without even acertaining guilt or innocence, nor even establishing their masterminding of any sort of Dastardly Schemes. That makes the U.S. no better than the men it killed, and serves to make me more determined than ever to resign from the human race as soon as I find the paperwork. Until then, perhaps I'll move to Canada or Australia or somewhere else, and become a citizen of a -civil- country. (And never mind that Australia was once a penal colony.)

Okay, I have to go get ready and go to class or my mother will kill me. But, before I go: I have Days Of Our Lives on, just 'cause, and the police department of the show's city have never heard of forensics, proper evidence processing, or even the basics of detective work, apparently. Asses.

Okay, I have to deal with my hair, now.

Well. That's disappointing... Saturn's newest Vue commercial is the living embodiment of Mad Poetess' Spike's assertion that someone should have shot James Dickey before he made it a sin to tell a boy he had a pretty mouth.

So I've decided to try my hand at the NaNoWriMo contest.

I'm rewriting the whole M/V/T thing.

My working title? (Please keep in mind that this -is- the working title; if you have something better feel free to suggest it.) Left-Wing Lock (On My Heart)

Yeah, I know. Shut up.

*Blink* Y'know, though, 'Left-Wing Lock On My Mind' isn't -that- bad. *Ponders*

*Blinkblink* Wow! When I placed my order to Amazon, the site said my stuff would probably ship by the 11th of this month. I just got an email saying 'We shipped your stuff, look for it in the next week!'. Cool.

"Because... I have things to do." Pause. "Bad, -evil- things. That are not for a child's eyes."

Poor, wonderful Spike. I need season 4, oh yes I do...

Poor, poor Spike. Poor, poor, poor Spike... *Sigh* Not that I'm a hyuuuuuuge B/S fan, but still... I think anyone that's been in his shoes can identify. Well, in the sense that they've had a massive crush on someone, not the whole bloodthirsty-killer-with-chip part of it. Heh.
Posted by: Shannon M.: 12:39 AM |

*Blinkblink* 'Sweet booboo'? Of all the smarmy nicknames for Spike, that is -not- one I would have ever guessed. *Giggle* And I see precisely -why- Harmony was described as the only vampire whose skull could be used as a wind instrument.

dee-mazh, -DEE-mazh! Like gar-azh, and gar-bazh, it's -dee-mazh. Not 'dah-mazh', which is French for 'wreck'. *Snerk*

I have to say that I dearly love the monster from Mutant Enemy, particularly the rather disinterested 'Grr, argh' it says as it tromps across the screen. Funny, funny.

Dear, dear, -dear- Old Spice. When you were my grandfather and father's cologne, I loved you. You were a good Sunday smell, one that meant church and routine and happiness.

When you started making deoderant, I downgraded you to a tolerated scent, because my brother wore your stinky product.

But now. NOW. Now I have to hate you. HATE you. HATE HATE HATE you. Because your commercials are encouraging the belief that saturating yourself with scent is what'll make the ladies swoon. No, no, no, it'll make the ladies vomit. VOMIT, I tell you!

...Or at least makes some of us choke on our own bile because we're so revolted and irritated by your scent and your advertising.

..And all Goombas perpetuate stereotypes. Because they're Goombas, they're cool! Stereotyping is cool!

....And I really need to stop watching effing TV.

So now I'm going to bed, after staying up faaaaaar too late. But I -did- send Mme. Jean a birthday card, and I found something marginally less annoying to watch (intermediate algebra, which has taught me that A) I know more than the average algebra student and B) knowing your Latin roots, suffixes and prefixes is very very valuable in math class. Particularly when it comes to graphing.)

G'night!

Hee. I love Hagrid's love of dragons... "What if he don't -like- Romania? What if the other dragons are mean to 'im? He's only a -baby-..."

*Snerk* My Vampire Rank changed, whee!

Since you all pretty much know I'm weird, I offer two more examples for the file:

1) I love the way that hydrogen peroxide reacts to/on blood, and
2) I adore the fact that the Japanese language has a word that allows me to describe myself as I feel: 'onnanohito' means 'female person'. Am I woman? Am I a girl? Who cares, I'm an onnanohito!

Ah! This is nice. *Grin*

Take the test, by Emily.

I'm okay! I just haven't been online.

Having mildewy carpet to get rid of will do that to you.

I have to go back to bed or I'll be useless.

...and I think the archives are back.
