Update:

I put the Fanfic section together... I think I'm going to try to get Rick's Vacation and Spencer and Clark together, this afternoon, too, since I don't have anyone I can call up and hang out with.

There's some new stuff in Fanfic, too, but none of it is anywhere close to being done.

Hmmph... NineRavens is almost all up-and-running... I've lost my copy of Val Gets Drafted, but I'm pretty sure is at school... If you've got a copy lying around at home, Scrubby, and you finally get a minute or three alone with the computer... Spend that time transcribing Vis! *Grin* *Bounce* I am _so_ anticipating this bit of writing.

And no, I'm -not- going to be disappointed. I. Don't. Care. what it's like, so long as it's mooooooooore... I _still_ wanna see him and Ang find the RPS. *Giggle* *Ahem* *Steely-eyed look* By the way, my threat about you saying your writing's no good still stands.

And speaking of writing... I'm thinking of going to TitleWave tomorrow so I can rifle through their Romance section. *Snerk* Can't write a Harlequin Romance without a model... *Ducks skates, sticks, and other various objects, not to mention at least -three- Black Glares Of Death*

Can we have cake and balloons? 'Cause I think this calls for a party.

My mother says, "Yeeeeeeeeee haw! Yeah, baby! Er, I mean, would you please extend my deepest congratulations to Michelle?"

-I- say... Nothing. I'm still speechless, though I did tell three or four people how -happy- I was. Every time I started feeling a little annoyed or depressed today, I thought of you and just felt all bubbly all over again.

*Dances around* Good for you, Scrubby! Oh, good for you. I'm so glad! I'm -still- glad! I'm just plain giddy and babbly!

It's going to be fine. You'll be fine. They'll be fine.

Hee!

That was no lady, that was my wife!

Now, I -know- there's a song that goes, 'the lady, she's a something...', or maybe I'm just misremembering it. Lame old jokes aside, though...

Anyhow, I was leaving school today, and the little kids were out on the playground. One of them is watching me go by, and says (just to themselves) "That's not a lady..."

I giggled, and started to go back to ask him what I was, then, but decided not to. It was a lot more fun to agree with him -- I'm -not- a lady. I can pretend to be ladylike, on occasion, but it's annoying.

Maybe you just have to be me to think it's funny. *Shrug*

I found them! I can't -buy- them, but I found them!

They're The Dominatrix Shoes! *Snicker* If I get a pair, then I'll have to find a black leather belt and a nice heavy spatula to go with... *Wishes desperately she could remember where the heck that exchange took place...* *Thinks it was probably 'Q, about three years ago.* *Blink* Has it been that long? Yeeek...

Anyhow, about the shoes and the purse... is having a fundraising dinner and silent auction, and I volunteered my services as TechnoGoddess for the evening. It's supposed to be dressy-casual, as black-tie was declared to be -too- formal. I'm planning my outfit -now- because I just _know_ how I am -- if I -don't- do it now, I'll be running around the night before, trying to round things up and decide what to wear.

I found a neat purse at, of all places, Afterthoughts. It's one of those quasi-backpack things that's meant to fit against your side and into the small of your back, making it far more comfortable to carry. The real plusses to me, though, were the two -huge- compartments (deep enough for carrying three of my notebooks around in, if I'm so inclined) and the deep zippered pockets. It's made out of something that feels weird, but it's not unpleasant.

It's not a purse that bothers me, like most purses do. They're either too small or too big, too ugly, too shiny, too... girly, I guess. I dunno... I just don't -like- purses. One more thing to keep track of in my life, I guess, and I have enough trouble keeping track of what should go in my pockets.

At least I haven't locked myself out of my car, yet, knock on wood.

"And there's hardly any rat in it!" -- Crow, Eegah, MST3K

XF Blog! Heeee. I'd forgotten about Nick Lea's eyelashes. Oi. *Snicker* And I missed the whole Dogget-checking out-Krycek bit (gives me an excuse to watch it again, like I need one), but I _have_ noticed a really fascinating propensity for the men in Scully's life to want to be a wall between her and the world. Skinner, Mulder, Doggett (which really surprised me)... Of course, there have been plenty of men out to do her harm, but then, her job isn't exactly geared towards coddling people.

I -did- kind of wonder about Scully's weepy-and-woeful demeanor, but I suppose one could chalk that up to being pregnant. *Shrug*

I want more Krycek!

Speaking of The X-Files...

Looking forward to more Lone Gunmen, tomorrow night. *Ponder* I think this is one of the few times I have -ever- scheduled my life around a TV show... "Yeah, I'm available any time after four -except- Friday, when you can have me between four and eight fifty-five, 'cause I am -not- missing my show."

And yeah, I've been working on TLG fic. I have to admit that I -like- Jimmy, as jock-ish as he is... But he's got his heart in the right place, and he seems to genuinely care about other people, which is really what counts with me.

I also like Yves Del Harlow. I didn't really expect to, because she seemed like a typical action-show babe at first, but she's grown on me. I even like her better than I've been liking Scully, of late... Scully started out well, as a character, but recently... I don't know. She's being -annoying-, and I can't define -how-. I'll think about it.

A Poke Is Just A Poke...

Bleah... Personally, I much prefer the TB tine tests. In fact, I still remember the first one I ever got, and how much it -didn't- hurt. The new ones make you look like something already happened, but maybe the old ones weren't as accurate or something. *Shrug*

*Grin* We're all grinning and bouncing here, sending as many good thoughts as we can your way, Scrubby. Go go go! Win win win! I'm -so- glad things are falling in to place for you, sweetie.

Finally found a purse that will work for me. Now, how to get Amazon to ship my books before mid-April... Will post more details on -why- I bought shoes and a purse in a bit. *Grin*
