Ugh. Don'chya just -love- days that are filled with mucous?

I've had a cold since Sunday. Actually, it's really been since Tuesday, with Sunday and Monday being the lead-in days. Stayed home on Wednesday, sneezing painfully (and -messily-, yick) on myself and anyone (or thing) in range. I went through two boxes of Kleenex in 36 hours. I used -one- in about five hours alone.

I actually -feel- better, now. It hurts when I cough, and I sound like I should be screened for walking pneumonia, but it's okay... Loose, productive coughs are better than tight hacking ones, right?

Also: Thanks Be to All That Is Holy that Spring Vacation starts at about 10:00 AM tomorrow.

Got my new cell phone! *Bounce* It's a V2397, with all the fun features of most digital phones these days: voicemail, caller ID, call waiting (but I highly doubt I'll ever need that...), and technogeek that I am, my favorite: SMS. Short Messaging Service is basically little emails displayed on your phone's screen, much like a pager. I don't know if you can send them -to- your phone from elsewhere, though.

Mom's friend Erin is in town for a little bit, and she stayed with us last night. I'm glad my mother has adult friends -- I know from experience (and I'm sure -she- does, too) that it's really, really important to have other adults to talk to. I love some of the kids at school, and I really, really like Mme. Jean, but... They're just _not_ grown-ups.

Speaking of grown-ups... I really should know better by now. I really should. Almost any pair of characters that I wirte will eventually end up in bed together, and since it's so inevitable, I should really just quit worrying about it.

And as a nearly complete digression... I was thinking aimlessly the other day, and thought about writing a new Orgy scene, only this time featuring Hubie, Alvie, Zed, Marc, Vic, Tikka, Val, Vis, and Dom. I scribbled the names out, then underneath them wrote, "Alvie and Hubert drain Dom, then fall asleep. Everyone except Val, Vis, Vic, Marc, and Zed is horrified and want to leave. Er, that would leave Tikka, wouldn't it?" *Snicker* Zed wouldn't mind because he's sort of become numb to the whole 'vampires kill people' aspect; and Vic, Val, Marc and Vis pretty much think he deserves it. It -is- an AU, after all...

The Two That Started Me Thinking About The Inevitability Of All Of This:

Istvan/Lucian.

Granted, they have yet to actually have -sex-, but they're getting there. I would transcribe it, but I'm tired (exhausted, really) and I don' wanna. Well, right this instant, anyhow. I've been really amazed that I've been able to write at all, since most of the time my brain feels like a mashed banana.

 

Back to Clark for a second... I really have no idea -who- he would sleep with. For some reason, 'Harlyss Culpepper' springs to mind, which might be interesting... Though I have no idea how they would meet. *Ponder* Ooh, that's not true. Motorcyclists get thirsty and hungry, and Clark had historically worked in convenience stores...

And, as is true for almost all of my Cs, Harlyss is bi 'til proven otherwise... That could work. I've kinda wanted to drag Harlyss out and dust him off anyhow.

Val's about the only truly straight guy I've got -- okay, allow my to rephrase, the only one with a girlfriend. If Sophie even qualifies, which she pretty much does, I think...

 

I suddenly wanna go make C profiles/datasheets/whatevers, now. Actually, I need to put a cdev page up on /~Konamasi anyhow... Gah. So much to do, so little capacity to prioritize!

My aunt Kel's okay, physically, after the 'quake. Scarily, her cat Spike seems to have escaped into the great outdoors while the family is in the middle of moving to Ballard... I think she found him, but I don't know. *Fretfret*
